ANIMATIONS 2022

RETURN TO THE EARTH

Orchestrated by the stylist Aurélie des Robert, an invitation to terra incognita through various universes that will dialogue with each other. A first space will illustrate an artist’s workshop. This is the place of a ceramic turner. Another will present blocks of clay, bricks and other decorative elements that will evoke the material in its most elementary, primary state, even in its most sophisticated dimension. Yet another will celebrate ceramists in all their lands of expression. Further on, images taken from Côté Sud will honour landscapes, buildings, know-how, memorial gestures, fragile objects, sensitive creations… Finally, ceramics will be brought to the table, associating content and container, use and decorations in a flash.

CRAFTSMANSHIP AND NATURAL MATERIALS

La Redoute For Business and AM.PM invite you to a sunny event and propose to discover the new AM.PM collection with its vibrant colours, whose key words are comfort, precision and freedom. The opportunity to reconnect with nature through natural and organic materials. Mediterranean craftsmanship will be highlighted, notably through ceramic pieces. laredoute.com

NATURE IN ITS PUREST FORM

With Flamant, the South invites itself on the terrace, in the veranda or the poolhouse. The programme includes combinations of blue and white combined with natural materials such as rattan, teak and linen, and a line of glasses and accessories directly inspired by the sea. An elegant and timeless design, conducive to a convivial atmosphere. flamant.com

CREATIVE OUTDOOR

Cinna combines design, comfort and know-how to bring furniture, lighting and accessories to life outdoors. This is achieved through the creation of exclusive collections such as the “Lapel” by Busetti Garuti Redaelli, but also with the outdoor version of iconic Cinna pieces such as the “Murtoli” by Christian Werner. The French furniture manufacturer is bringing its creativity to bear on the design of gardens, terraces and swimming pools. cinna.fr

LOUNGE AREA

The Milano shop, which specialises in the sale of indoor and outdoor furniture from design brands, is offering a scenography featuring the collections of Fermob, the famous French garden furniture manufacturer, renowned for its colour palette. Elements of a summer terrace will be displayed around a dining table, a lounge area with sofas, sunbeds and wireless lighting. milano-designstore.com

SOUTHERN LANDS

Landscape designers in Provence, Johanna Bonella and Abel Flosi form the Atelier Lieux 10. They are committed to designing living spaces where nature is always poetic. Around this micro-amphitheatre, they see themselves as creators of “landscape forms” as well as revelators of the environment. Their creation reveals the singularity of the Provençal landscapes. Thus, the burning red earth and the white sunny rocks are the support

of a robust vegetation. The coloured variations of the terracotta will become the fertile substrate of this local bio-diversity. The foliage of endemic plants such as arbutus, santolina and sage contrasts with the earthy strength of the land. Collections of southern plants, terracotta pots, sculpted medallions, the scent of thyme and rosemary from the hills, lavender flowers, field wormwood, fresh water from the pond

water in the basin tell the story of a garden that looks like a botanical conservatory. The holm oak mixes with the immortals, the yarrow is next to the iris and the thistle is next to the pistachio tree. Concerned with intervening in harmony with the site and encouraging sustainable practices, this tandem of young creators invites you on a journey to the heart of essential nature. lieux10.com

CULINARY DEMONSTRATIONS

This year again, the culinary demonstrations will be orchestrated and led by Anne Garabedian, editor-in-chief of Coeur des Chefs: “The cooks who will accompany us for the next four days totally embody this South, their ‘land of expression’. On the one hand, they have forged strong links with their producers so that the plate is a magnified reflection of what has grown next to them. On the other hand, Provence is a land of potters and the chefs like their restaurant to tell the story of the artisans around them. Some will even cook live while their ceramist designs their new custom-made plate”. On Sunday, Anne Garabedian has given carte blanche to Nadia Sammut (La Fenière in Cadenet and KOM&SAL) who will present “the expression of her Luberon land” by revealing her legendary obsession with chickpeas, her pedagogy of crop rotation for soil regeneration and her work from the kitchen garden to the kitchen to preserve its season throughout the year. During these four days, Anne Garabedian will also introduce you to local stalwarts such as Mathias Dandine (La Magdeleine in Gémenos) or Mickaël Féval in Aix-en-Provence, and will also introduce you to “nuggets” such as Alexandre Lechêne, who has set up shop at the Villa Salone (Salon-de-Provence), or Giovanni Facchinetti (Vaugines), who will give us his first demonstration. Each day, the chefs will cook on the stand equipped by the Morcrette shop with Cristel, Lacanche and Open’Cook equipment. The decoration of this space is made by Rock The Kasbah.

A living space dedicated to arts and crafts and delicacies, the Arti’s Boutique is a scheme initiated by the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis in early 2019. It consists of the regular hosting of art craftsmen from the department in order to revitalise the town centres that need it, and to promote the talent of the Bouches-du-Rhône’s art craftsmen. All of them are registered with the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Chamber of Trades and Crafts – Bouches-du-Rhône delegation – and have access to the shop for a symbolic fee, to promote themselves, their creations and demonstrate their know-how for an average of two months, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 7pm. Arti’s Boutique has already welcomed nearly a hundred artisans since it opened, and has set up free children’s workshops on Wednesdays and during the school holidays.
